About Beldiamond

Beldiamond was established in 2015 by 2 friends, Philippe and Timour, who wanted to revamp the way that people purchase a diamond ring.

In 2015 when most of our friends were looking for a diamond engagement ring, we were amazed by the amount of misinformation they received from jewellers. We decided at that point to create a more transparent and personalized way to acquire fine jewellery. We wanted to guide and educate our customers about precious stones and by this break the misinformation barrier that had been established for way too long.

At Beldiamond, we are diamantaires before being jewelers. This means that for generations we have been buying and selling diamonds in Antwerp, the diamond capital of the world. To put it simply, we are at the source and can give our customers an extensive selection of quality diamonds and precious stones at the most competitive prices.

Our main office is located in the heart of the diamond district at Hoveniersstraat 30, 2018 Antwerp, Belgium. The building is heavily secured and you will need to show your identity card at the entrance. Should you need it, the building is wheelchair accessible.

If you’re coming by car, there’s a public parking at Appelmansstraat 25, 2018 Antwerp.

If you’re coming by public transport, we’re located within walking distance of the Antwerp Central Station.

Our second office is in the capital Brussels. It is based in the nice neighbourhood of Ixelles at Avenue du Général de Gaulle 41.

If you would like to schedule an appointment, you can contact one of our experts.

Bespoke designs have endless possibilities. An approximate budget helps us narrow down options and propose a selection of gemstones of different size and qualities that match your budget.

The central stone usually represents most of the budget for a piece of jewellery. The remaining amount accounts for the precious metal used and the artisan’s labour. Of course, this proportion varies according to the complexity of the mounting.

Rings & Jewellery

You can print out our guide here or order a free ring sizer by contacting us.

All of our jewellery is handcrafted in Antwerp by the best artisans in Belgium. Their traditional methods and our years of expertise give you the assurance that our jewellery meets the highest quality standards in jewellery making.

We exclusively use 18k gold (white, yellow and rose) and platinum.

Yes. Engraving is free for all our rings. You can choose between 2 fonts. We advise you to limit the length to about 30 characters for the sake of readability (e.g. Alice & Thomas 01-01-2050).

Central diamonds and gemstones always come with a certificate (HRD / GIA / IGI). On request, we can also provide a certificate for the whole piece of jewellery.

Traditionally, the man puts the engagement ring on the fourth finger of her left hand which is known as ‘the ring finger’.

No. To guarantee the quality of our products we do not repair jewellery that was not crafted by Beldiamond.

Diamonds & Gemstones

We offer the finest natural diamonds and precious coloured stones, such as sapphires, rubies and emeralds. Only a handful of gemstones meet our strict criteria.

On request, we also offer lab-grown diamonds and semi-precious stones.

At Beldiamond, we carefully select each diamond for its qualities and overall beauty.

The quality and value of a diamond is determined by the 4Cs: Carat, Colour, Clarity, and Cut.

1. Carat (ct): Represents the weight and size of the diamond. It’s up to you to decide if you favour the diamond quality or its size. A compromise between the two is usually the best solution.

2. Colour: We recommend diamonds between the colour D and H without any tint of yellow visible to an untrained eye.

3. Clarity: We recommend diamonds between IF (internally flawless) to SI2 (slightly included). We never sell a diamond with an inclusion that we consider too visible even to a professional.

4. Cut: We only select the finest cut diamonds with a very good or excellent cut grade.

We only sell diamonds without any fluorescence.

All of our diamonds above 0,30 carat are delivered with a certificate from either GIA or HRD.

You can find more information about the 7 factors to consider when choosing a diamond here. We can also assist you in the selection of a beautiful diamond.

Our diamonds come from the following countries:

• Botswana

• Congo

• Australia

• Canada

• Angola

• South Africa

Yes. All of our diamonds are 100% conflict free and ethically sourced.

This means that all of our diamonds are purchased from known and legitimate sources in compliance with the U.N. resolution and the Kimberley process.

We can provide, on request, a traceability service through blockchain technology to determine the exact journey of a diamond from mine to retail.

Usually this is a matter of personal preference. What is more important to you: size, colour or clarity? Of course, we can help you make these decisions, but no matter which diamond you choose, you can be confident that it will be a fine diamond. Here at Beldiamond we take pride in maintaining a strict criteria and only selecting the finest diamonds.

Our diamonds are certified by either GIA or HRD.

Our coloured gemstones are certified either by GIA or ALGT.

Each gemstone we sell comes with a certificate that has a serial number. This serial number is laser inscribed inside the gemstone.

All the diamonds on our website are natural, but we offer lab-grown diamonds on request. Please contact us for further information.

Some gemstones are heated to enhance their natural colour, but they are never treated.

Yes. It is possible to upgrade your centre stone for one of a higher value if your jewel was purchased at Beldiamond. This policy is applicable for natural diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Please note that each diamond upgrade request is subject to approval by us and not all diamonds qualify for the upgrade policy.

The jewel must be returned in perfect condition in its original packaging with everything that was included in the original shipment (Certificates, boxes, cards etc.).

Tailor-made jewellery:

Tailor-made jewellery designed and manufactured to your specifications and not available in our catalogue cannot be returned or refunded.

If a tailor-made jewellery does not meet your expectations, it can be returned for adjustments under certain conditions:

In these cases, you have 30 days from the date of reception to return the jewellery. We will replace the jewellery as soon as possible, free of charge.

The first resizing is complimentary. For a second resizing, the cost is €60. Shipping costs for resizing are always at the customer's expense. A resize takes up to 1 week on average.

Yes. Polishing and cleaning are part of our lifetime warranty and completely cost-free. We only charge for shipping fees.

We can make an appraisal letter for your insurer on request.

Our fine jewellery is crafted to last for generations. We do, however, advise you to care for your treasured pieces carefully to preserve their beauty.

Wearing:

Put your jewellery on after applying makeup and perfume. This prevents chemicals in the beauty products from tarnishing the jewellery. Avoid wearing jewellery in swimming pools and spas since chlorinated water can damage gold and platinum.

Cleaning:

Your jewellery should be cleaned with a soft toothbrush and warm water. Never use hot water since it can damage delicate materials. You can add a few drops of neutral dish soap to the warm water if necessary, but remember to rinse the jewellery thoroughly in clear water.

Storing:

Your jewellery should be stored away from humidity, natural sunlight, and heat. Always store jewellery in a jewellery box with a protective lining or in a tarnish-resistant pouch to keep them from being scratched or tangled. Never store two jewellery pieces next to each other as one could scratch the other.

We can inspect the jewellery and give you an estimate of the repair cost. The repair of minor damages, such as scratches or a small diamond falling out, is free of charge. We will send you a quote for the repair of larger damages, such as knock on the metal, crack in a stone, etc... In cases where the jewellery is badly damaged and non-repairable, we will send you a quote to make a new piece.
